The Museum

The museum covers an area of 8,600 m². Dedicated to all disciplines of motorsport, the exhibition is organised into two main expo zones. The first part of the visit is devoted to the world’s most famous endurance race: the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Through a themed experience, dive into the inner workings of this legendary event.

The second zone invites you to explore the wider world of motorsport. From rallying to Formula 1, plus IndyCar, the biggest international championships are showcased. A family area allows you to extend your discovery through play.

The Circuit:

The Circuit de la Sarthe, which hosts the 24 Hours of Le Mans, is a temporary installation measuring 13.626 kilometres. Using public roads, it is only used twice a year – for the 24 Hours of Le Mans and for Le Mans Classic.

The ACO also has a permanent installation called the Bugatti circuit inaugurated in 1966. This 4.185 km long circuit shares part of its layout with the big Le Mans circuit, in particular, the pit straight. This section houses the essential infrastructure: pits, garages, paddock, sports facilities, and podium. Today, the Bugatti curcuit hosts nearly 280 days of racing/testing per year.

Outside events, the pit straight can be explored on foot. A self-guided tour allows visitors to stroll from the Goodyear footbridge to the Raccordment corner with access to the grandstands. However, access to the buildings remains restricted to those with a guide.
